Sardine, listed here as the Indian oil sardine (Sardinella longiceps), is a small, oily, schooling fish of the Arabian Sea and wider Indian Ocean, caught off the coasts of Sindh and Balochistan. It has a slim silvery body with a faint golden line along each side and a dark spot at the edge of the gill cover.
